Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between music therapy class and a traditional music class?
While traditional music classes focus primarily on teaching children musical skills (like singing on pitch or keeping a beat), our groups use music as a tool to achieve non-musical developmental goals. Because these groups are designed and led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), every song, instrument choice, and movement activity is selected based on neurological, physical, and social-emotional clinical research. We focus on the growth of the whole child and their caregiver.
My child has a developmental delay or is neurodivergent. Can they attend?
Absolutely. In fact, our space is explicitly designed to be neurodivergent-affirming and fully inclusive. Because of our clinical background, we excel at adapting activities in real time to meet every child exactly where they are. Whether your child needs sensory accommodations, extra processing time, or alternative communication tools, they are safe, welcome, and celebrated here.
Can I bring a newborn and a toddler to the same class?
Many families care for children of different ages simultaneously, so if you have another child with you during class, that is always allowed as long at they are not disruptive! However, if you want each child to benefit from class, please enroll and bring them to the class that is most aligned with their age and developmental stage. There are sibling discounts available at sign up if you have multiple children who wish to attend classes.
What is your instrument sanitation policy?
As a clinical practice, safety and cleanliness are foundational to our space. Every single instrument, prop, mat, and sensory toy is thoroughly sanitized using non-toxic, child-safe medical-grade cleaners between every single class session. We also build 15-minute transition buffers into our daily schedule to ensure deep cleaning is never rushed.
What should we wear and bring to class?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows both you and your child to freely sit, crawl, stretch, and move on the floor. You do not need to bring any instruments or props—we provide everything! We just ask that you leave outdoor shoes at the door to help keep our space clean for children.
Do you offer drop-in passes or do I have to commit to a full semester?
We offer both! We know that early childhood schedules can be unpredictable, so single Drop-In Passes are always available if there is open space. However, if you attend a drop-in class and love it, you can apply that cost directly as a credit toward a Multi-Week Semester Package before you leave the studio that day. Semester packages guarantee your spot in our high-demand morning time slots.
What happens if my child is sick or we miss a class?
Please stay home if your little one is feeling under the weather! Families registered for a full Semester Package receive up to two "makeup class credits" per term. You can use your software portal to easily book into any other open session within your child's age bracket before the semester ends.
